Squadron Leader Md Shah Alam

Squadron Leader Shah Alam (retd) has been serving as the Head of Administration in the Company since February 2025. Before joining Sunlife Insurance Company Limited, Mr Alam served in Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and Ssain Group. Having an illustrious career of more than three and a half decades, he brings with him an enormous amount of experience of holding top management appointments.

 With versatile leadership and management experience in national and international spheres, spanning across the Air Force, United Nations and Corporate Sector, he has honed his expertise in administration, compliance, education, recruitment, training, procurement, project management, office management, security management, disaster management, human resources management and organizational development. Squadron Leader Shah Alam (retd) was awarded with ‘Air Efficiency Padak’ (BPP) for his outstanding professional excellence and meritorious contribution to the service.

Squadron Leader Shah Alam (retd) had the rare privilege of working with Bangladesh Scouts and adorned the appointment of Secretary Air Region for eight consecutive years. He was awarded with Chief National Commissioner’s Certificate for his remarkable contributions in the development of Scouts’ Movement.
